Before having a social presence was all about signing up for every platform and sharing a lot of content. Now, social media is an important marketing tool and vital to customer service. People expect you to engage with them on a one on one basis and in a more active way. Google notices this type of activity, so focus on a couple of platforms and stay active.

I have come across a lot of business owners in all sorts of different fields and so many of them have done nothing on social media for their business. I tell them they are really missing out on engaging better with existing clients and they are also missing out on extending the reach of their business. If you are not on social media you are really hurting your business and missing out on a lot of potential customers.
