How impotent is alexa ranking in seo? How does it works in SEO section. Alexa rank shows the reputation of a site. But does it really take a part to the
SEO for ranking site in #1 page in search engine.

I think Alexa ranking shows the health of a site. You want to follow your Alexa ranking because it will show how healthy your site is. It’ll prove or disprove if you’re SEO is currently working.

The Alexa rank is calculated using a combination of the estimated average daily unique visitors to the site and the estimated number of page views on the site over the past 3 months, with the site with the highest combination of unique visitors and page views being ranked as #1. For most site owners, how their website is doing is very important, however, when assessing your own website my advice would be to simply stick with Google Analytics data rather than attributing any significant meaning to your site’s Alexa Rank. Many people say that it's inaccurate and that Alexa traffic can be greatly influenced or gamed. It helps Webmasters and advertisers see the true marketing potential of their site. The better your rank, the more advertisers will be willing to buy advertising on your site.

I agree with that. But, I think Alexa ranking is good for determining health. If you’re Alexa rank is improving, then chances are the site is on the right track.
