After a bad experience (with Volusion) we are ready to start over again.
We need a stable cart that can do the following;
Offer different levels of paid membership, each level will be priced differently and offer different levels of discount/free shipping.
An example could be that we sell a membership subscription for 12 months offering 20% discount and free shipping. Another membership plan would be 10% discount and/or free shipping. Finally we would also offer a free membership plan, offering a 5% discount if the customer subscribe to our newsletter.
Whenever a customer purchase a membership, the discount should automatically apply to all their purchases within the membership period.
Additionally we also want to offer all our products on subscription basis. If a customer have purchased a membership, the applicable discount/privileges should of course automatically be applied.
It would be great if we could offer referral ($) for customers who refer new paying customers.
We will employ fairly skilled PHP developers, so we don't mind if we have to customize things ourselves.
We will have 100-200 different products, and some of them will have 3-4 weight options.
Is Prestashop a good solution for us?
