There are three essential thing for successful blogging from my experience:

1-Create content marketing posts.
2-Be consistent (post at least 3 to 5 times per week)
3-Don't post for the sake of posting (always post proper content)

Always remember quality over quantity. It is better to write an excellent 500 word post 4 times a month than it is to write 25 word posts every day. People tend to read longer articles and they also share longer articles more than short ones.
